It’s hard to believe I’m in the final stretch of this deployment. Each day closer is another day I never thought would come. Though I’ve made a lot of great friends that I can call brothers, I’m ready to be home again. I’m ready and eager to see my family and friends, and see what life has to offer. With only one more semester of college, I have a lot to think about over the next few months. Should I find a job? Should I go to graduate school? I recently got an e-mail form a recruitment manager for Teach for America, and she wanted to meet with me. She wanted to talk about my involvement on campus and how I could be a good fit. Teach for America is something I had always looked into doing, and that e-mail reassured me that I should apply. I do have to wait until the January deadline to apply, considering time constraints me being over here. But I would some advice or suggestions on how to prepare for Teach for America if anybody is willing to help!
If I had a dime for half the things I did that didn’t make no sense at all, I’d be living a little higher on the haul. If only I’d have known that later on down the road, I’d look back and not like what I see, I would change a lot of things…
Starting with me
Just like every sorority has certain kinds of girls, every fraternity has certain types of guys. The fact that they’re called things like “The Player” and “The Alcoholic” doesn’t mean there’s only one guy that fits each category though. In fact, every fraternity probably has multiples of every one…
Greek was one of the best shows I’ve ever watched. This scene was probably my favorite of the entire series, because I think it hits home for me. The first three minutes of this video are EPIC. It pretty much portrays a friendship that I have had with a certain girl right on the nose. Anyways, watch it! It’s good. Reminds me of college for sure!
As with most social media sites, it takes a while to understand the processes and norms, especially with something so different than I’ve ever used before. I think this will be a great journey, the journey of life. And on tumblr, mine starts now. Enjoy the ride.
